- Bedding: The bedding should be sand/shavings of wood
- Caging: The length of the snake is approximately 3 m so the length of the cage should be 450 cm long and the height of the cage should be 43-45 cm.
- Feeding: As a rule, younger snakes should be fed more frequently than adults. Smaller snakes can be feed every 5-7 days, intermediate snakes every 10-14 days, and full grown snakes every 3-4 weeks. An adult will eat a few rats at a meal, or one rabbit.
- Watering: Always leave a bowl with water but not filled to the top.
- Temperature: Always leave a cool side & a hot side in the cage so the snake can choose where to stay to be comfortable(put a heat lamp on one end and leave the other cool). The temperature needs to be between 22 degrees and 30 degrees. A temperature above 34 are dangerous for the snake.
